This video shows you a way to use Free Azure VMs longer than trial periods 12 months. You will need an academic email address to pass academic verification from Microsoft. Once you get your student subscription, you will be able to automatically get renewed year by year as long as you have access to your academic email. With your renew, $100 credit will be added into your subscription as well. This video also shows you how to create a proper Windows / Linux VM to meet free tier requirements.
